Portraits

It is largely unknow who are the subjects of Kate Freeman Clark's portraits. William Merritt Chase used members of his large family as subjects for his portraits. However, Kate Freeman Clark had only her mother and grandmother – and she did a number of self-portraits. At bottom right is Mama Kate, her grandmother.
